Unlike her elder brother who is studying in college, 15-year-old Sarita must help the family collect water and feed their livestock since she is the eldest daughter. Sarita’s mother Naina Devi and father Bansi Lal work as laborers at a nearby farm. Naina Devi and Bansi Lal would like to see all their children complete school and go to college.

Sarita loves to study and her brother has been giving her tutorials at home. She is keen to complete high school and then goes to college.
